This was my first time visiting a Black Bear Diner. I will say you better show up Hungry!!! They don't play around when it comes to the serving sizes. I couldn't finish my meal! Everything was served Hot and cooked to perfection!! Definitely will be stopping in again!

This was our first time trying the diner. We always come by and see it full. This time we took the extra time to come and wait to try out this place. The food was good. It gets you really full. The greeting lady at the door was very nice. Very nice decure. The place is very down-to-earth. Food was wonderful. However, our waiter at the time. We only seen 2 times take in our order. And then one time to bring us a refill. After waiting on refills for about 10 minutes now. Like I said, they're always busy, but I did feel like the waiter had no time for us. I will definitely check it out again.Their biscuits in gravy are off the chain pretty big too.So go with a empty stomach.

Great place to eat! The 5 stars I gave for Atmosphere is for the employees we encountered. They all seem to like working there and happy. That really does make a big difference. I had a breakfast meal for lunch and the biscuits were huge and delicious. The suggestion I have would be a little more gravy on them. I'm really glad we went there!

My expectations were higher based on the large amount of positive reviews. However, the regular French toast was lack luster. Very dry without much sweetness or flavor. It felt like I was eating dry "bran" toast. I also found it weird that they put lettuce on the plate and the fruit. I had to put the lettuce off the plate. Something about syrup covered lettuce was off-putting.... the trip-dip sandwich was INSANE 10/10 especially with the au jous and the mushroom/onion/Swiss add-on to make it "deluxe". The grits also tasted a bit watery even with the added cheese and bacon. The chorizo breakfast burrito was also delicious although a bit oily

Cute and cozy. We've been here a few times and the service and food are good. I mostly crave their huge, soft biscuits (no gravy), but their menu is pretty extensive with large portions. We always have leftovers. My husband likes the Hobo Omelett with country potatoes. He also pointed out that they offer various flavor options of creamers for your coffee. I like to get the hot chocolate with whipped cream. Sometimes, they'll even add choclate syrup. 😋
